I slept 11 hours last night! Didn't hardly role over I slept so sound. Oatmeal concoction has never tasted better than this morning and I wouldn't sell my french press for a million dollars. Well, we have decided to have a day of rest today. Slept in and had two hot showers so far this morning by 9. We have a nice fire built that helps a lot with the mosquitoes. We are going to head out at 11 and drive to our next camp sight, about 75 miles. That will take care of the 60 we were supposed to ride on our bikes and make up for the 30 we lost in the last two days doing 45 instead of 60. We will be right on schedule.
Decided last night to make this a rest day for three reasons:
1. We will drive through Prince George instead of riding our bikes. Neither Cliff nor I are very comfortable pedaling in busy city traffic.
2. There is a lot of construction in and around Prince George.
3. The roads 20 miles both sides of Prince George are 4 lane freeway and that didn't excite either one of us.
Oh yeah, reason number 4 is when Cliff asked me last night how far we were going to ride our bikes today I went into a coma.
Whooeeeee, I wanted a challenge and I certainly have one. Just think, I originally had planned on starting this trip from my house, an extra 800 miles and I was going to go by myself. I might never have made it to Fairbanks! Thank you Jesus for prompting Cliff and Kathy to want come along. We plan on pedaling 50 miles tomorrow. I am already feeling better. We are talking about working up to a century ride, 100 miles towards the end of the trip. We will see. Right now is not the right time to think about it. Thanks to you who have sent me texts. I enjoy them. Well, I think I will go take a nap before we had out on our brutal 75 mile car trip:) love ya all. Dee
