It is Friday, June 10 at 8:00 pm. I am now lying in my tent as I write this note to you all. I will send it tomorrow when I get cell reception.
We had a really good day. Biked 50 miles and my legs didn't feel so jelly when we got into camp. Not so much steep hills today and no wind. We averaged 12 miles an hour. Overcast and cool but only a little rain. Perfect temperature for biking. We saw a really big bear along the road today. We inched closer and closer to him and he didn't seem to mind us or look at us like lunch. Got some good pictures. After we got too close he ambled off into the woods. Tomorrow we are going to attempt to pedal 70 miles. The lady here at the campground said there was one long hill of about 3 miles and 6 percent grade between here and Dawson Creek where we will camp tomorrow night. This camp sight we are at tonight has very few mosquitoes. So nice. We were all comparing welts tonight that we got at our last camp sight. I think my old body is starting to adjust to this exercise I am putting it through. Hopefully I am getting stronger and skinnier. Love ya, Dee
Thanks for checking in....was getting worried. Sounds like what weight you two don't loose the black flies and mosquitoes will carry off for you....
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are playing it "safe..." ( did I just say THAT word??? LOL).
Blessings and Honor to you all,
Jo.
